An overhaul of the road 16-km long section between Mironushka and Kuznetsovka villages in Valday region started in April 2018. Technostroy OOO in St. Petersburg was the contractor. The automobile traffic here amounts to 17, 000 vehicles per day. Due to the heavy traffic, it was decided to extend the route with four lanes arranged.
Taking an intensive truck passage into account and aiming at increase in the road pavement inter-repair spans and serviceability, the institute Tveravtodorproject facilitated the use of strong Geospan GT PP 80 woven geotextile performing a combined function of reinforcement and separation in the lower parts of the road pavement base in accordance with RIM 218.2.046-2014. Additionally, Geospan GT PP 20 was used to separate a sand sub-base and the subgrade course.
