On November 15-16 in Ashkhabad (Turkmenistan), the 48th meeting of the CIS Intergovernmental Road Builders Council was held.
The event, attended by Geospan chief engineer Dmitry Svezhentsev, welcomed representatives of road, transport and R & D organizations from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, the Intergovernmental Road Builders Council associated members, along with representatives of CIS Executive Committee and CIS Countries Coordinating Transportation Meeting.
The meeting included a review of the condition and development of motorways in Turkmenistan, entering of Ashkhabad – Turkmenbat motorway in the List of CIS international motorways and the International Road Builders Council Secretariat’s progress report between the council meetings and a report on integration development in the CIS transport sphere in the course of executing the Action Plan for implementation of the 1st stage (2021 to 2025) of the CIS Economic Development Strategy until 2030, as well as many other issues.
