Effectiveness and application
The filtering nonwoven geotextile Geospan BB is characterized by a special way of fiber bonding. Polyester fibers are bonded together as much as possible to ensure high filtration and strength parameters with minimal geotextile thickness. Such a structure puts no barrier to water flow, is not susceptible to silting and maintains the filtering cell shape at the operating pressure. These properties are in demand for construction of water evacuation and drainage systems, as well as protection of inundated slopes.
Geospan BB use allows:
- protection of a drainage system from clogging by fine soil particles;
- longer service life and inter-repair spans of a drainage system;
- proper water discharge rate and water permeability;
- prevention of fine soil wash-out at the foot of an underflood embankment.
Geospan BB applications:
- road pavement drainage systems;
- drains (basement drains, close and open drains);
- backwards filtering of underflood embankments;
- landscaping and flat roof construction.
